Hott off the Press
Animal Collectives Avey Tare just released his first piece of solo works on Oct 25. The album is titled "Down There" A lot of anticipation has been brewing up for this album and many questions developed on whether or not it can live up to Animal Collectives last explosive album, or even up to Avey's partner in crime (Panda Bear) solo works. I have listen to a few tracks from the album and it is classic AC sound. Heavy rhythms, water sounds, funcky beats and clicks, wild creative transitions and just lots of psychedelic noises. It poppy like Merri Weather but it has solid rhythm. I like most of the tracks i have listened to from this album but i am a huge AC fan so this sorta sound appeals to me. The worry i have with the success of this album is if it will appeal to anyone other then AC's fan base... i guess only time will tell. But in the meantime here is one of my favorites that i have heard so far. Avey Tare-Laughing Hieroglyphic

Up and Coming on the Scene
TWO Words "Sun Airway".... if you dont know them, you will. They are a up and coming indie electric pop band who's sound screams Animal Collectives-Merri Weather Post Pavilion, (which is a good sign for them considering Merri Weather was one of the best Albums of last year). Sun Airways sound is upbeat and catchy but yet so different from the everyday music we all hear. There first album is coming out on Oct 26, so at the time you are reading this, there LP will already be out. If your not to scared then check out a few of there songs and read more about them on Pitchfork from the LINK "Tunes of Stream" and then click continue reading under the text of the opened page<>Tunes on Stream<> NOTE the song "Put the days away" is a good one to start out on, it will set the tone and give you a good preview for what this album is all about.

The video below is a performance by Thom Yorke playing the song "The Clock" acoustically. It is from his first and only solo Album he did that was released in the year 2006. This is one of my favorite YouTube videos to watch of all time because Thom is playing by himself and its hard to believe one man can create so much much power in a performance. The guitar in this is blows my socks off everytime i watch it, Thom has a special talent of being able to speak with his guitar strings...
